Felt the Baby Kick

I felt the baby give a little kick today while eating ramen at one of my favorite resturants. Maybe the baby enjoys the ramen as much as me!

My belly is getting big. I have to get Chach to take a pic.

The 10 things not to do with your infant son

Lessons learned by my family

10. Don’t let your son sleep in your bed – he’ll never want to sleep anywhere else.

9. Don’t leave your son in the jogging stroller (with the hood up) when it’s
windy – it might blow over with your son in it.

8. Don’t leave out cat food – he will eat it.

7. Don’t let your son walk around on your new rug naked when he has diarrhea.

6. Don’t let him be mean to the cat – he’ll wake up with scratches on his face.

5. Don’t leave the refrigerator door open – he will stick his fingers in the apple pie, pull it out of the refrigerator and get it all over the kitchen.

4. Don’t let your wife cut his hair unsupervised – when she’s done it will look like your son has the mange.

3. Don’t leave him on the bed (for one second) without watching – he will roll off and stop the impact with his head.

2. Don’t show your son how to open the X-Box – he will take out your $50 game and use it as scratch pad for DJ practice.

1. Don’t feed him jalapeƱos – kids don’t like them much.

Baby News

We had our first doctor's appointment today. The baby is resting peacefully...well I probably shouldn't say peacefully. The baby was salsa dancing for us during her/his ultrasound. Her/his little arms and legs are starting to sprout. We got a very good view of her/his spine.

I'm 12 weeks and 4 days along in my pregnancy. Her (yes I'm a little bias...Chach wants a boy...I'm hoping for a girl) heart rate was 160. We are expecting the new addition January 21st.

We'll keep you posted when we get more baby news. .

Dolphin Park

Parks are all over Okinawa. The best ones are hidden in the small back roads, only found when you're willing to explore. My friend Carrissa and I found Dolphin Park on Wednesday and its definately ranked high on the list of great parks in Oki.

Jaden is fascinated by roller slides. Its not the best of pics, but its the only one I took on the slide.

Carrissa, my exploring buddy. I think she enjoys the parks more than our boys!

An Old Favorite

As most of you know, one of my favorite things to do during the day is to take pictures of Jaden. I came across this photo a couple of days ago and wanted to share it. I love this photo because it looks like Jaden is posing, but he's really not. He was walking across a bridge at a park and turned to look at me.
This picture was taken March 16, 2006 at the park on Sunset Beach.

Caught in the Act

Jaden, what are you doing?

This is what happens when your son rummages through your purse. Nothing is sacred with a toddler!!

Jaden's Mohawk

Check out Jaden's hair-do!!!

Chach has been wanting to cut Jaden's hair like this for a few months. I gave in about four weeks ago. And now, I wish I had agreed to this hair style months ago. I think the cut fits Jaden's personality perfectly. I love it!!!

A Day at Trash Beach

One of the great things of Okinawa is its beaches. We live about a mile and half from a beach; nick named Trash Beach by the Americans. Do not be fooled by its nick name; American beaches could learn a thing or two from this beach.

Posing for the camera.

Relaxing in the shallow waters.

Chillin on the shore line.

Catching some waves!

Now look what they did!
